PITTSBURGH, Pa. – CannonDesign has named Stephen Winikoff, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC, its new health market leader in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  A dynamic architect with proven experience delivering high-performance health facilities, Winikoff will direct the growth and development of the Pittsburgh office’s health practice — focusing specifically on client engagement, business growth and design team mentorship, as well as providing leadership for healthcare projects throughout western Pennsylvania.

oct16_mcdenews_people_stephen-winikoffWinikoff brings more than 15 years of project management and design experience to his new role. With special focus on Evidence- and Research-Based design, he is adept at understanding project priorities and is effective in communicating complex concepts to diverse groups. He consistently demonstrates the ability to manage, coordinate and successfully complete healthcare projects of all scales and typologies — from outpatient centers and imaging departments to inpatient hospitals, emergency departments and research facilities.

Initially from Montreal, Winikoff has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto. He serves on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
