LOS ANGELES, Calif. – CO Architects recently elevated Jennifer Knudsen, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to principal and Raymond Yang, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to associate principal.
As winner of the 2011 AIA Young Architect Award, Knudsen has designed and managed large-scale institutional projects in which she embraced Building Information Modeling to facilitate design collaboration between architects and builders. In her 15 years with the firm, and through her work on Palomar Medical Center, the Phoenix Biomedical Campus and Kaiser Permanente San Diego Central Hospital, Knudsen has advocated BIM as both a design and team integration tool. Knudsen joined the firm in 1998 after receiving her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California. She returned in 2004 after receiving a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University.
Throughout his 20 years in the field, Yang has provided design and technical services for complex academic, research and healthcare projects, and takes particular interest in the integration and advancement of BIM technology within the practice. He received a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California.
