NEW YORK, N.Y. – Environments for Health has recently appointed Lauren Mead as business development director and Rika Gunawan as senior interior designer.
Mead, previously the business development leader at CallisonRTKL Chicago, Illinois, has 10 years of marketing and business development experience as well as a national network. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she brings extensive knowledge of the healthcare design industry, along with a professional network that will enable her to build strategic partnerships for the firm. Mead is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, HLNY.
Gunawan, NCIDQ, LEED AP, has 15 years of interior design experience with special focus in space planning, detailing, specification, furniture, furnishings and equipment selection and documentation, as well as standardization and documentation for healthcare environments, and client presentations. After two years as a consultant for daSilva – E4H, Gunawan joins the firm on a full-time basis. She previously worked at The Ritchie Organization in Newton, Massachusetts and HOK in New York. Currently, she is working on the interior renovation of existing outpatient residences for patients recovering from bone marrow transplants at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
