Stanford Health Care, Irvine Company Open Unique Health Clinic Inside Apartment Homes

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Bay Area’s first medical and wellness clinic inside an apartment community recently opened. Seeking to bring healthcare directly to where people live and work, the Irvine Company and Stanford Health Care opened an Express Care Clinic at River View Apartment Homes in San Jose, California.

Bay Area Apartment ClinicThe 2,567-square-foot clinic is housed in new retail space at the 1,308-home luxury apartment community at 52 Skytop Street in San Jose. Same-day and next-day appointments are available for a range of minor illnesses and injuries, including colds and flu, respiratory illnesses, abdominal pain and cuts and sprains. Lab services are available, as well as referrals to emergency services or Stanford Health Care specialists.

“Modern life is busy and hectic, and convenience and access is really important to people, so offering healthcare to people closer to where they live or work is part of our vision for the future,” said Sang-ick Chang, M.D., MPH. Chang oversees primary care at Stanford Health Care and is also a practicing family care physician. “This new partnership will increase access to Stanford’s world class faculty and cutting-edge treatments not only for River View residents, but for the entire San Jose community,” stated Chang.

Irvine Company has also partnered with Scripps Health in San Diego and St. Joseph Hoag Health in Orange County to offer health and wellness services in other coastal California locations across its portfolio of properties. In total, the company plans to offer an array of services at more than 100 locations throughout the state.
