SEATTLE, Wash. — HDR was recently honored with the Champion for Change Award, which is an environmental excellence award that recognizes Practice Greenhealth’s ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance. The winners of this award have achieved success in greening their own organizations, while also encouraging their healthcare clients to expand their sustainable practices and improve their facilities’ environmental performance.
HDR and other top performers were honored at the Environmental Excellence Awards presentation in Dallas, Texas in conjunction with CleanMed. Duncan Griffin, sustainable principal in HDR’s Seattle, Washington architecture studio, and Mark Meaders, sustainable leader in HDR’s Dallas, Texas architecture studio, accepted the award.
Practice Greenhealth environmental excellence award winners are the hospitals, healthcare providers and organizations of the future, according to practicegreenhealth.org. They are innovative and progressive and find imaginative ways to take their environmental programs to the next level. To recognize this creativity and commitment to excellence, Practice Greenhealth presents a number of awards each year to recognize these sustainability champions.
