Methodist Mansfield Expansion, Renovations Open to Public

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center’s new patient care tower expansion project in Mansfield, Texas, is complete and open to the public. The CallisonRTKL team worked alongside Methodist Health System to design this 214,000-square-foot multi-phase, multi-level addition and renovation to the hospital’s existing bed tower, as well as the expansion of support services to acute care. The Beck Group served as general contractor.

The expansion added a new 110,000-square-foot bed tower, 34,000 square feet of additional operating rooms, cardiology and gastroenterology services, and 64,000 square feet of additional support services including lab, pharmacy, materials management, biomed, sterile processing and other features. The project team implemented a collaborative team approach to achieve continuous improvement, gain whole system optimization, maximize value creation and develop long-lasting interpersonal relationships.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center began as a community hospital in 2006 and has nearly doubled its capacity with multiple expansions since and continues to grow to meet the needs of area residents. This project broadens the access to first-rate healthcare facilities for the residents of Mansfield and its surrounding regions, and serves as a regional destination for healthcare services.
