Healthier Hospitals Sustainability Data Collection Extended to March 25

The Healthier Hospitals program is requesting 2015 sustainability data be entered into the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Extranet and Energy Star’s Portfolio Manager. The deadline has been extended to Friday, March 25.

The Healthier Hospitals program has gathered data from more than 1,000 hospitals in the United States and Canada and seeks to build an extremely robust healthcare sustainability data set.

There are three places data can be submitted:

  • The Institute for Healthcare Improvement Extranet: All challenge data can be entered through the IHI Extranet.
  • Energy Star Portfolio Manager: All data for the Leaner Energy challenge must be submitted to Portfolio Manager.
  • Practice Greenhealth Partner for Change Award Application: If an organization will be submitting a Partner for Change application in 2016, data can be automatically shared with the Healthier Hospitals program for all challenges except Leaner Energy. To share data from the PFC award application, select “yes” on question 18.b and the Profile page of the Partner for Change application. Energy data is still required to be entered into Portfolio Manager.
