The Health Care Institute, an IFMA Alliance Partner, has appointed William Howden to its board of directors. In addition, Howden has accepted the position of treasurer of HCI, and as a result will serve as a member of the executive committee. Howden replaces David Ennis in that capacity.
Howden has more than 16 years of experience in managing large facility capital, real estate and operations projects. He manages the Facility Planning and Construction Department at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, a HealthPartners family hospital.
In addition, he has served on the IFMA Minneapolis/St. Paul chapter’s board as co-chair of programs, vice president and president, among other roles. Howden also founded and served as president for the regional HCI Midwest Council, which provides local healthcare professionals access to education and national seminars.
Howden notes that he has a passion for serving as an advocate for education and working to advance healthcare facilities and design in a constantly improving healthcare industry.
