BAYONNE, N.J. — Barnabas Health, the City of Bayonne and Rendina Healthcare Real Estate celebrated recently when the design was unveiled for a new 80,000-square-foot freestanding emergency department.
Officially named Barnabas Health at Bayonne, the new facility will revitalize the historic Broadway shopping district while bringing jobs and convenient healthcare services to the community. The new medical office building will house a 24/7 emergency department, imaging center, retail pharmacy, pediatric center, physical therapy, women’s center and services for primary care.
The facility is being developed by Rendina Healthcare Real Estate; the general contractor is Blanchard and the architect is Davis Stokes Collaborative. The new ED will be located on the West 2300 block between Broadway and Delmonte. The plan also calls for the construction of a new four-story parking garage that will add an additional 309 spaces and connect to the second floor of the medical office building.
Barnabas Health at Bayonne is expected to open in late 2016.
