John C. Schrott, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, managing principal for IKM Architects, has earned Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification. EDAC-certified individuals are forward-thinking professionals helping achieve the vision of a world where all healthcare environments reflect design using an evidence-based process.
Schrott is overseeing the $250-million expansion at West Virginia University Healthcare. The project includes a 10-story bed tower addition, expanded emergency department, roadway relocation, new entrance and atrium and renovations of existing hospital space.
In addition, John E. Keelan, AIA, associate and project manager with IKM Incorporated, has earned his Board Certification in healthcare architecture from the American College of Healthcare Architects. The ACHA certificate holders work toward the improvement of healthcare architecture on behalf of the public, to practice in an ethical manner and to maintain the highest standards in the specialized field of healthcare architecture.
