FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo recently announced Technology Pavilion: Stadium for Clinicians will be featured at this year’s event, Oct. 6-8, at Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois. The project is led by Zdi and BSA Lifestructures.
“Technology continues to impact the design of the built environment. It is really important for our attendees to experience these technologies in hands-on situation,” said Jenabeth Ferguson, vice president, symposium director. “We are excited to showcase this immersive experience with live feeds from a simulation center.”
Simulation centers are making a profound impact when preparing healthcare professionals and students for the “what if.” With patient safety, outcomes and pay for performance factors at the forefront of health-care providers’ missions, simulation centers are taking center stage preparing the healthcare team for everyday situations, new advanced surgery techniques to a major catastrophic event. Simulation centers are able to replicate scenarios through cutting-edge robotics and audio visual technology that create an immersive experience. From simulating pre-hospital scenarios to replicating the slightest symptom signs, the first impression a simulation experience offers can greatly assist in the future decision-making and response skills of care providers.
The Technology Pavilion will be open during expo hours from 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 7.
