LIGHTFAIR International Opens 2016 Call for Speakers

The LIGHTFAIR International 2016 Call for Speakers is open. Submissions and speaker suggestions will be accepted online at LIGHTFAIR.COM through Sept. 14. Submissions for sessions, seminars and/or entire forum programs will be entertained. The annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference will be held April 24-28, 2016 in San Diego, California.

Experts from various industries, including healthcare, are invited to submit proposals that share how elements such as: inspiration, applications research, methodology and technology and tools contribute to the overall integrated lighting design process. Sessions highlight how experienced project contributors collaborate to optimize environments.

New for 2016, tours will incorporate a visit to a local lighting installation or significant project. Forum sessions may be organized into a one-day forum during the conference on topics of:

• Health (research, case studies, new approaches, funding for implementation and study)
• Transportation (airports, intermodal facilities, roadway, funding for infrastructure, technology concerns)
• Color (metrics, research, applications, case studies)
• Controls (wireless, digital, adaptive, smart sites, commissioning)
