KJWW Principal and Director of Engineering Jeff Boldt, P.E., LEED AP, HBDP, will be presented with ASHRAE’s Distinguished Service Award in June at the society’s annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
The award recognizes members who have served ASHRAE faithfully as a member of committees or otherwise have given freely of their time and talent on behalf of the society. Boldt is a voting member of ASHRAE SSPC-90.1 Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, the energy standard that is the basis of nearly all energy codes in the U.S.
He chairs the Healthcare, Hydronics, Elevator, Booster Pump and Duct System Leakage working groups in the 90.1 committee, and also is a member of ASHRAE SSPC 189.1, the green building code which covers site sustainability, water efficiency, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, impact on atmosphere and materials and construction plans for operation.
He has over 30 years of experience in mechanical, fire protection and acoustical design. Boldt is also an author of the Advanced Energy Design Guide for Large Hospitals and of the AEDG for Small Healthcare Facilities.
