Brasfield & Gorrie Completes New Critical Access Hospital in Mississippi
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Brasfield & Gorrie recently announced the completion of the new Baptist Medical Center-Leake in Carthage, Mississippi. This new hospital is owned and operated by Baptist Health Systems in Jackson, Mississippi.
The 54,690-square-foot, 25-bed critical access hospital includes an emergency department, radiology suite, specialty clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, patient wing, dietary and food services area and ancillary spaces. The facility also includes state-of-the-art amenities, such as a new 16-slice computed tomography scanner.
Brasfield & Gorrie teamed with Dean and Dean/Associates architects on this $14-million construction project for Baptist Health Systems. The project began in November 2013 and was completed ahead of schedule.
