CHICAGO, Ill. — Members of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering have elected a new president-elect and new members of the ASHE board of directors.
Terry M. Scott, MBA, SASHE, CHFM, CHSP, was elected as the new president-elect. Scott will serve as president-elect in 2015 and will assume the role of ASHE president in 2016. Scott, the director of System Engineering Services for Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas, has held leadership positions in hospitals for 30 years. He has served on ASHE committees and has experience leading ASHE-affiliated chapters.
Scott will succeed David A. Dagenais, BS, CHSP, CHFM, FASHE, who will assume the presidency from current president Philip C. Stephens, MBA, CPE, CHFM, FASHE, on Jan. 1. Scott had been serving as Region 7 director. Antonio (Tony) Suarez, CHFM, SASHE, has been appointed to complete the second year of Scott’s two-year term, which runs through the end of 2015. Suarez’s appointment is effective Jan. 1.
ASHE members also elected several members of the board of directors, including an associate member and several regional directors. ASHE congratulates the winners:

The associate member and regional directors elected in 2014 will serve a two-year term from Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2016. The other associate member director position and regional directors from other ASHE regions will be chosen in 2015 elections.
