HOK Global Healthcare Practice Adds Dorothy Lloyd as New Director

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Dorothy Lloyd, AIA, EDAC, has joined HOK’s leadership team as a senior vice president and director of healthcare.

Nov_eNews_MCD_LloydBased in HOK’s San Francisco, California office, Lloyd brings 30 years of experience as an architect and consultant in the healthcare industry, with a focus on creating high-performance environments that support patient-centered services. She will collaborate with Paul Strohm, AIA, LEED AP, and Thomas Quigley, AIA, LEED AP, to lead HOK’s global Healthcare group.

“Dorothy’s clinical and technical experience enables her to plan highly successful facilities for healing, learning and discovery,” said Patrick MacLeamy, FAIA, LEED AP, HOK’s chairman and CEO. “She will help lead our teams in bringing design excellence and operational efficiency to our clients’ healthcare environments worldwide, helping them to deliver the best patient outcomes.”

Lloyd comes to HOK from a position as an architecture principal at Stantec in San Francisco, where she led  development strategies, strategic master planning and functional and space programming projects.

A registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects, Lloyd holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She is a frequent contributor to national and international conferences and publications on healthcare facility design and delivery.
