    Charles Maggio Joins CBRE as Managing Director

    LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Charles Maggio has joined CBRE  Group, Inc.’s healthcare group as managing director specializing in healthcare design and planning, construction, development management and integrated strategic real estate solutions. Oct_eNews_CharlesMBased in New York City, Maggio will coordinate with CBRE’s Northeastern Regional Healthcare team to serve that market.

    Maggio brings over 30 years of experience having worked as a practicing architect, hospital facilities executive, project manager and consultant. His architectural background and consulting expertise allows him to evaluate challenges and develop strategic solutions that position clients for success in today’s dynamic healthcare market.

    Maggio joins CBRE Healthcare following a 4 ½-year career at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he served as managing director. During his tenure there, he worked with clients such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Long Island Jewish Health System, New York Presbyterian, Orange Regional Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center and Continuum Health Partners. He was responsible for managing the firm’s healthcare clients in the Northeast, oversaw healthcare projects and teams, acted as a healthcare subject matter expert on real estate services and established best practices supporting Lean project delivery.

    Maggio received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from City University of New York City College. He is a member of the Health Guidelines Revision Committee of the Facility Guidelines Institute for the 2014 Guidelines for Design & Construction of Healthcare Facilities. He has also volunteered for the AIA Contract Review Committee, the New York State Department of Health Construction Standards Advisory Group and assisted with resiliency planning in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
