JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Brasfield & Gorrie announced that the company has been honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors Florida First Coast Chapter. During the organization’s recent Excellence in Construction awards ceremony, Brasfield & Gorrie’s Jacksonville, Florida office received two awards, including a Merit Award and an Eagle Award.
This award recognizes Brasfield & Gorrie’s utilization of local partnerships in its work on St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County in Middleburg, Florida. Completed in 2013 in partnership with St. Vincent’s, Ascension Health, Johnson Development and Clay County to bring much-needed medical care to the area, this new greenfield campus includes a 160,000-square-foot hospital facility, a 60,000-square-foot medical office building and expansion of Branan Field Road. All three projects were completed ahead of schedule and designed to accommodate future expansion to mirror the population growth of Middleburg and the greater Clay County area.
In addition to receiving the Merit Award, the St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County project team was also honored with an Eagle Award in recognition of construction excellence.
“These recognitions reflect our commitment to excellence not only in building outstanding projects, but also in building relationships within our local subcontractor and vendor community,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Erik Sharpe.
