NBBJ recently named two U.S.-based healthcare architects as principals of the firm: Hassan Gardezi, AIA, OAA, NCARB and Bryan Langlands, AIA, ACHA.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Hassan Gardezi oversees the design and delivery some of the Middle East’s largest, most complex and high-profile education and healthcare projects, including the Kuwait Cancer Center and the Al Razi Hospital expansion. As the key liaison between NBBJ and key regional clients, general contractors, construction teams and specialty consultants, he ensures the firm meets client expectations while working within established schedules and budgets.
Based in New York, New York, Bryan Langlands is an accomplished healthcare programmer, planner and designer of academic medical centers, specialty centers and community hospitals. His list of clinical and research clients includes NYU Langone Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In addition to his leadership in the firm, he is a contributor to the recently published 2014 Facility Guidelines Institute’s Healthcare Guidelines, and holds positions on two committees of the American College of Healthcare Architects.
