Construction Begins at Parkland Clinic at Hatcher Station Village in Dallas

Ground has broken on a 44,300-square-foot outpatient clinic near Dallas, Texas’ Fair Park, designed by BOKA Powell for Frazier Revitalization, Inc. and Parkland Health& Hospital System. The builder for this project is Hill & Wilkinson General Contractors.

Expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2015, the Parkland Clinic at Hatcher Station Village will be located on a 7-acre site in south Dallas, adjacent to DART’s Hatcher Station. The project’s sophisticated, flexible design will facilitate vital primary care in an underserved area of Dallas.

The new facility will support geriatric and behavioral health patients, adults, women/infants and children, as well as provide onsite diagnostic imaging and lab services. Exam rooms will feature a flexible equipment setup that allows providers to reduce patient wait times and improve efficiency by utilizing unoccupied rooms to respond to demand as patient volumes fluctuate throughout the day. A conference space will host education and wellness outreach efforts in the community, and the lobby will welcome community meetings and events after hours.

The new clinic will meet the city of Dallas’ green building guidelines for new construction, incorporating sustainable design practices during the construction phase and ensuring long-term enhanced building performance.

Beginning with the new clinic, BOKA Powell’s partnership with Frazier Revitalization, Inc. will attract new public and private investment and introduce much-needed community resources, including healthcare, education, local services and restaurants. The next phases of the project are being designed, including a community recreation and education facility.
