DALLAS, Texas — After more than a year of planning and construction, Pine Creek Medical Center has opened the north wing of its Dallas, Texas campus.Included in the new facility are three operating rooms, five post-anesthesia care units and eight observation beds bringing the hospital’s total to nine operating rooms, one procedure room, 15 inpatient beds, 16 observation beds and 13 PACU beds. Azure Architecture + Design served as project architect. Construction manager was Rogers O’Brien Construction.

“Every hospital in the country is facing a very challenging time, and for Pine Creek to be able to expand during this time speaks to the hospital’s support for the needs in our community,” said Pine Creek’s CEO, Dr. Corazon Ramirez.“This expansion is a milestone for Pine Creek; not only will we increase our capacity to perform surgeries, we will be increasing staff members and physicians to provide the community a complete suite of specialties as a comprehensive hospital.”

In the coming year, Pine Creek Medical Center is adding new service lines and programs, such as Pelvic Pain and Bladder Health Center, Neuroscience Center, Vascular Surgery and Limb Salvage program.

The new wing focuses primarily on procedures in urology, ear nose and throat, orthopedics, podiatry and minimally invasive vascular surgery. The newly constructed tunnel connecting the main hospital to this wing will be accessible to patients and provide safe and easy travel to the café, lobby and other amenities within the main building.
