The American Society for Healthcare Engineering, one of three AHA groups that collaborated to create the Sustainability Roadmap, welcomes the first 10 allies to the program. By becoming allies, the organizations are demonstrating they recognize the importance of sustainability in the healthcare industry. The allies are:

The Sustainability Roadmap website—www.sustainabilityroadmap.org—provides free, practical tools to help healthcare facilities reduce environmental footprints. It shows hospitals how to implement real-world sustainability projects, enhance existing efforts and share successes with other facilities. The roadmap was created by three AHA personal membership groups—ASHE, the Association for the Healthcare Environment and the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management.
