Ron Bateman, AIA, has joined HOK’s Texas practice as vice president and director of interior design. An architect with more than 30 years of experience, he will be based in Houston and guide the interior design for HOK’s projects in Texas.
Bateman joins HOK from Gensler’s Houston office, where he was a design director. He has designed more than 3 million square feet of interior space for all types of organizations, including Legacy Community Health Services and the Alzheimer’s Association of South Texas.
“Ron’s highly collaborative approach to design and ability to listen to clients and respond to their needs has led to the creation of many award-winning spaces and long-term relationships,” said Jay Tatum, AIA, HOK’s Texas management principal. “He fits in perfectly with HOK’s client-focused culture and design approach.”
Bateman is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Rice Design Alliance and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas. He received a bachelor of environmental design from Texas A&M University.
