ST. LOUIS, Mo. — McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has promoted Doug Mangers from project director to vice president operations – Healthcare for the firm’s Central division based in St. Louis, Mo.
 Mangers has more than 17 years of experience with McCarthy, most recently as project director for the $230-million renovation and addition project for Children’s Hospital Colorado.  Before coming to McCarthy, Mangers worked as a tradesman during summers while earning his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Illinois.

“Doug started with McCarthy as a project engineer right out of college and has done whatever has been asked of him throughout his career with us,” said John Buescher, McCarthy senior vice president – Healthcare. “He has experience on McCarthy healthcare projects throughout the country, including St. Louis; Denver; Lebanon, New Hampshire and Greenville, North Carolina. Wherever he has served, he has been a strong mentor for younger staff and done a great job establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, designers and subcontractors on all of his projects.”
