    Genesis Planning Names Jim Cappiello Vice President

    Houston, Texas — Jim Cappiello has been named vice president of Genesis Planning.  Cappiello, a biomedical engineer with master degrees in electrical engineering and business administration and more than 30 years of experience in all facets of medical technology planning and management for major healthcare projects and hospitals, will be working with the operations, technology and business development divisions of the firm.

    Cappiello will represent WHR Architects and Genesis on the executive committee of the Military Hospital Outfitting and Transitioning joint venture. MilHOT was formed in 2009 and is comprised of the following firms: WHR/Genesis, Logistics Management Institute and gKKWORKS. MilHOT pursues federal IO&T contracts with the U.S. Army for the outfitting and transitioning of their military healthcare facilities worldwide.

    Among Genesis’ recent projects are the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in the UAE; Aldara Medical Center in Saudi Arabia; the Fort Hood Replacement Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas; the Army’s Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense in Aberdeen, Md.; Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, N.C. and the NYU Kimmel project.
