    Legat Architects Welcomes Steve Blye as Associate Director of Healthcare, Senior Design Director

    Steve BlyeCHICAGO, Ill. — Legat Architects has welcomed Steve Blye, AIA, LEED AP BD+C to its professional staff. He will serve a dual role:

    As associate director of healthcare, Blye leads the client experience from vision to reality. He expands the firm’s capabilities in acute care, ambulatory care, senior living and skilled nursing environments.

    As senior design director, he leads planning efforts, collaborative design charrettes and conceptual development of a variety of facility solutions.

    Blye’s national design experience includes many successful projects. Among regional healthcare providers he has served are Adventist Health System, Advocate Health Care, Central DuPage Hospital, Edward Hospital, Silver Cross Hospital, Loyola University Health System and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. This experience adds depth to Legat Architects’ legacy of responsive healthcare environments.

    Although he has focused on healthcare design during his 30 years in the architecture industry, his portfolio also includes domestic and international mixed-use developments, hotels, commercial and retail facilities, including palaces and the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Byle’s landmark designs in downtown Chicago, Ill. include the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers and Prentice Women’s Hospital. His involvement in the design process spans from $100-million epicenters and multi-acre master plans to millwork details and signage graphics.

    A licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional, he holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois.
