Sanford Children’s Castle of Care Clinic in Klamath Falls Holds Grand Opening

Klamath_Clinic_Final_RSIOUX FALLS, S.D. and KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Sanford Children’s Clinic in Klamath Falls has officially opened its doors, providing pediatric specialty services including primary and walk-in services all under one roof. Tekneek Architecture served as the project architect. The contractor was Diversified Contractors.

The 9,000-square-foot Castle of Care™ was made possible by partnerships in the local community, including Sky Lakes Medical Center, the Jeld-Wen Foundation and Klamath Pediatric Clinic. The clinic will be staffed by local pediatricians and will be in cooperation with Sky Lakes Medical Center for hospital and ancillary services.

Arch. Inc. created the castle-like exterior and interior design for Sanford, which was passed along to Tekneek for the Klamath Falls facility. A standard finish plan is used on all the domestic sites. The exteriors may change a little from site to site depending on location, but the intent of the castle-like design is to brand all Sanford clinics.

“We are thrilled to officially be a part of the Klamath Falls community,” said Dave Link, senior executive vice president, Sanford Health. “This is an exciting day for healthcare in this remote area, particularly pediatric healthcare. Sanford Health is committed to pioneering quality healthcare and innovative research on a global level. It’s a mission that leaves a positive impact on all of our patients, whether they are in Oregon or the Midwest.”

Sanford Children’s Clinic will serve a community and broader metropolitan area of 60,000 people, including more than 16,000 children. The clinic will also serve the four-county market service area that includes children and young families in Oregon and California.

“This is a very exciting time for our community,” said Dr. Tracy Graham, Sanford Children’s Clinic pediatrician. “With the help of so many people and partnerships, we now have a state-of-the-art facility to provide an excellent medical home to the children of the Klamath basin. We are honored to join the Sanford organization and hope to live up to its expectations and reputation.”
