Hill & Wilkinson Completes Reliant Northwest Houston Rehabilitation Hospital
Richardson, Texas – General contractor Hill & Wilkinson has completed a $13.7-million, fully licensed rehabilitation hospital for Reliant Healthcare Partners in 10 months with zero safety incidents, according to Jacob Riney, executive vice president of Hill & Wilkinson. The new 3-story, 65,000-square-foot facility was developed by HealthCap and designed by Perkins + Will.
The facility consists of 60 patient beds, 20 per level, with 40 standard rehabilitation rooms and 20 skilled nursing units. Patient room corridors are 20 feet wide, and each level includes a spacious lounge area with abundant natural daylighting to encourage interaction among patients and enhance rehabilitation. All patients enjoy flat-screen TVs, oversized showers and bathrooms, personal desks and wireless Internet.
The first floor houses a 4,800-square-foot outpatient therapy gym with a salt water therapy pool. The hospital also includes a full-service, commercial kitchen with private and public dining, pharmacy and occupational rehabilitation.
Hill & Wilkinson’s project team included Healthcare Group Manager Billy Large, Senior Project Manager Max Scott, Project Manager Matt Davis, and Superintendent Chris Rhodes.
