Ron_BensonLos Angeles, Calif. — HGA Architects and Engineers hired Ronald Benson, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, as senior associate in its Los Angeles office. A licensed senior project manager with more than 25 years of international and domestic experience, Benson will join the firm’s healthcare and higher education practice groups.

“Ron is an industry veteran whose diverse experience and skills will be a great addition to our office,” said James Matson, AIA, vice president and principal of HGA’s Los Angeles office. “His strengths in project management, client relations and construction administration oversight will be extremely valuable as we continue to build our practice in Los Angeles.”

In his new role, Benson’s depth of experience presents the opportunity to work on several high-caliber projects across the education and healthcare industries.

Before joining HGA, Benson was a senior associate for Perkins+Will in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for client relations and project management primarily on large international projects.

He has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, a past chairman of the AIA/LA Professional Practice Committee and is a LEED accredited professional.

“I am very impressed by the talent and energy of the firm, and look forward to supporting the goals of the Los Angeles office for continued growth in the higher education and healthcare practices,” said Benson.
