KBR to Construct Renovation, Expansion at Providence Hospital Northeast in Columbia, S.C
The Providence Hospitals’ Board of Trustees has awarded KBR Building Group a contract as the construction manager for a major renovation and expansion at Providence Hospital Northeast in Columbia, S.C.
KBR Building Group’s scope of work includes significant renovations and new construction to the main hospital building. New construction will include an added MRI service, a new main entrance and canopy, along with an expansion of the front lobby, post-anesthesia care unit and a central sterile processing area.
Areas to be renovated include the energy plant, emergency, pre-op/recovery, surgery, central sterile and admissions departments and patient care areas. Overall, the project will expand the facility by adding 38 new beds.
