    Smith Seckman Reid Promotes Rolando Alvarez to Vice President/Team Leader in Tampa Office

    Rolando_Alvarez_crTAMPA, Fla — Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., an engineering design and facility consulting firm, recently promoted Rolando Alvarez, P.E., LEED AP, to vice president/team leader in the firm’s Tampa office, where he has served as office manager since 2008.

    As team leader, Alvarez will be responsible for client relationships and oversee the team’s delivery of design and consulting services focused in the healthcare and higher education construction markets. Representative projects for the Tampa office include the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Morton Plant Hospital, Mease Countryside Hospital, Mease Dunedin Hospital, University Community Hospital, Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater, Palms of Pasadena Hospital, Brandon Regional Medical Center and Tampa General Hospital.

    With a background in mechanical engineering, Alvarez manages a design team of 10 engineers and designers and has been with SSR for seven years. He graduated from the University of Havana in Cuba with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association.
