Hampson Named Associate Principal at Cannon Design
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Cannon Design is pleased to announce that Carl Hampson, AIA, LEED AP, has been appointed to the position of associate principal.
Hampson’s portfolio of work, amassed throughout a 20 year career, encompasses all aspects of project planning and design — from conceptual design through design development and construction documents. As Design Leader for the firm’s Western Regional offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Phoenix, he has provided design leadership on numerous healthcare, academic, and community projects, including the University of Arizona Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Pavilion and Crisis Response Center in Tucson, Ariz., outpatient clinics for the Veterans Administration in Eugene, Ore. and Monterey, Calif., the Student Recreation Center Expansion program at University of California Riverside, and a Science Teaching Building at the University of La Verne in La Verne, Calif.
Hampson’s work, which is said to “emphasize a creative process that melds together context, program, and theory with clearly defined client goals and objectives,” has been featured in numerous exhibitions.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles.
