ECRI Institute Launches Online Healthcare Design, Construction Resource Center
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — ECRI Institute announces a new website page focusing on successful designing and planning of healthcare construction projects. This new website is intended to help facility managers and architects gain a better understanding of the medical technology needs of healthcare organizations and the impact on the healthcare construction industry.
The key to a successful healthcare design and construction project involves the integration of appropriate medical technology consistent with the organization’s strategic vision, technology trends, operational requirements, and patient and staff safety. This complex undertaking requires effective planning and guidance to address these needs while meeting budget constraints.
The regularly updated site provides information on:
Technology guidance
Patient and staff safety considerations
Construction and design impact
Procurement and budgeting
White papers
“Medical Equipment Planning today requires much more than just equipment lists, specifications, and CAD room layouts,” states ECRI Institute’s Michael Linehan, director, Medical Equipment Planning. “ECRI Institute draws on its 400-member multi-disciplinary staff to provide technology expertise to help maximize clinical efficacy, while maintaining project budgets and timelines.”
