Summit Health’s Chambersburg Hospital Addition Scheduled for summer 2012 Completion
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Chambersburg Hospital, an affiliate of Summit Health, will unveil a new four-level addition this summer. The new tower, which includes 174,000-square-feet of new construction and 4,100-square-feet of renovated space, will house 171 all-private patient rooms, a new cardiology and catheterization area, a new dialysis unit and a central utility plant.
“By providing our patients with 171 new private rooms, they will have a quieter and more restful atmosphere to help them heal,” said Norm Epstein, president/CEO of Chambersburg Hospital.
HBE Corporation is providing architecture, engineering, construction services and sitework on the $72-million project. Construction began in October 2012 and is expected to be complete in September 2012.
