Providence Hospitals recently named Rodney (Van) Hauser as director of Facilities Management. Hauser has over 20 years experience in the fields of facilities management and construction. As the director of Facilities Management, Hauser will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, direction and control of the Plant Operations, Construction, Environmental Services, Security and Bio – Medical departments.
Hauser received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from University of North Carolina in Charlotte and earned a Masters of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University. An American Hospital Association certified healthcare facility manager (CHFM), Hauser recently served as director of Plant Engineering at Novant Health, Inc., in Charlotte, N.C.
Providence Hospitals’ President & CEO George Zara believe Hauser will be a natural fit for the position. He said, “Van’s leadership style and values will mesh well with the mission-driven culture at Providence.”
