Skanska Awarded Two Healthcare Projects in California Totaling $282 Million

Skanska has been awarded two major healthcare projects in California: The San Carlos Center healthcare facility which is $145 million. The customer is the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in San Carlos, California.

The new hospital, which will serve the inhabitants of San Carlos, will offer a combination of both primary and specialty physician services, as well as surgery, X-ray and testing services. The project will commence in the spring and is scheduled for completion in 2013.


The second contract is for $137 million and is a multiphase renovation and expansion of a medical center in the San Francisco Bay Area but was not named. Construction will commence immediately and scheduled for completion in March 2015.
