Mortenson’s M. A. “Mort” Mortenson and Kendall Griffith Honored by AGC of Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn — Associated General Contractors of Minnesota (AGC) held its 92nd Annual Meeting on January 13. The one-day event included honoring distinguished individuals who were recognized by their peers for their outstanding contributions and commitment to the construction industry.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to M. A. “Mort” Mortenson, Jr., chairman of Mortenson Construction. This award has been presented periodically to exceptional individuals whose careers have been distinguished by outstanding leadership, extensive industry knowledge, and a strongcommitment to enhancing the future of the industry.

In addition, Kendall Griffith, vice president, group operations for Mortenson’s Minneapolis office, was named to AGC’s 2011 board of directors.

Associated General Contractors of Minnesota (AGC), a St. Paul-based association, was founded in 1919 to promote the legislative and economic strength, image and well-being of the Minnesota construction industry.  With more than 400 member companies throughout the state, AGC of Minnesota represents and serves the needs of all segments of Minnesota’s construction community.
