    Castle_Rock_Exterior_1ORLANDO, Fla. — HuntonBrady Architects, an Orlando, Fla.-based architecture and interior design firm and architect-of-record for the new Centura Castle Rock Emergency Department & Imaging Center in Castle Rock, Colorado, recently unveiled digital renderings of the new Castle Rock emergency department and imaging center in Colorado to the public.

    “Phase one includes a new Emergency Department and Imaging Center, is designed in mountain modern style and will take advantage of majestic mountain views to optimize the healing environment for patients and staff,” said Chuck Cole, AIA, ACHA, President of HuntonBrady Architects. The architectural design features a mix of Colorado native materials such as stone and wood with modern, dramatic elements like metal and glass.

    The project is part of a multi-phased new hospital campus master planned by HuntonBrady and client Centura Health to serve the growing Castle Rock community just south of Denver. HuntonBrady teamed with Parsons, program manager, to design overall campus site work and infrastructure that would support incremental growth with minimal disruption for this phased development.

    The firm met with hospital administrators and user groups to develop design drivers to guide design decisions during the life of the Castle Rock Adventist Health Campus (CRAHC). The drivers include:
    • * CRAHC will be a community epicenter and landmark;
    • * CRAHC will embody the soul and spirit of its site and context;
    • * CRAHC will be technologically advanced & provide maximum efficiency to staff;
    • * CRAHC will promote community wellness and health;
    • * CRAHC will embody a healing environment and emphasize natural elements;
    • * CRAHC will emphasize comfort, calm and respect for its inhabitants and visitors.
    Founded in 1947 in Central Florida, HuntonBrady Architects is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm recognized nationally for its healthcare design work, including Florida Hospital Orlando Patient Tower, the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson. Modern Healthcare named HuntonBrady one of the Top 30 healthcare design architects in the nation (2009).
