Innovative solution to offer world-class personalized healthcare

LAS VEGAS, Nev. —  Nov. 16 — Set to enhance the way healthcare is approached in Southern Nevada, K/E Centers for Advanced Medicine, in affiliation with St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, has announced its plans to open a multi-specialty facility in Las Vegas.

Upon opening in 2010, K/E Centers will become home to an extensive roster of thought-leading specialists and surgeons, allowing patients to receive a full range of seamless, highly personalized care in a single setting. The facility, which boasts approximately 60,000 square feet, is located adjacent to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals – San Martin Campus in southwest Las Vegas.

This physician directed, patient centric solution to healthcare delivery will feature a complete spectrum of physicians, many of whom already have long-established practices in Southern Nevada. K/E Centers will encompass a core range of medical disciplines from primary care to specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, urology and numerous other disciplines.

“Our present medical delivery system is dysfunctional, inefficient and fractionalized,” said Dr. Robert Koblin, founder, chairman and CEO of K/E Centers for Advanced Medicine. “In this system, patients are directed to various sub-specialists at various locations with multiple appointments, requiring re-registration and often times waiting days or weeks for results.”

“A highly credentialed, multi-specialty group connected by electronic medical records with all ancillary services and imaging in a single facility allows for patient information to be readily accessible to all participating physicians immediately on demand,” Koblin continued. “Central to our mission in excellence in patient care is a totally integrated system that is driven by disease management and outcome data.”

The facility, which will offer extended evening and weekend hours, will house a vast collection of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, focused on prevention, early detection and intervention. Additionally, K/E Centers is committed to working with local businesses in disease management through direct education and screening of their employees in certain high risk professions.

Extending its ability to offer integrated patient care with in-hospital procedures, K/E Centers will work in affiliation with St. Rose Dominican Hospitals to offer a comprehensive, thorough experience for most diagnoses and treatments.

“We are pleased to partner with K/E Centers as the founders of the organization have many years of experience at some of our nation’s top medical institutions and are well regarded for clinical excellence,” said Rod Davis, president/CEO of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. “This new diagnostic and treatment facility will create a consolidated and efficient resource for specialty care in the area and will add a new dimension to the high quality services available in Southern Nevada.”

Further delivering on its core mission of improving healthcare for all Southern Nevadans, K/E Centers is currently working with several community organizations to coordinate educational outreach programs and services. Additionally, through its connectivity with some of the world’s leading academic and healthcare institutions, the center will be able to consistently provide its physicians with the latest developments in healthcare best practices and technology.

In an effort to fully demonstrate and validate the level of care and service that K/E Centers is committed to providing, the facility will publish a report card that addresses and examines clinical quality and patient satisfaction.

The K/E Centers for Advanced Medicine in Las Vegas is being developed by Dr. Robert Koblin and fellow physician Dr. Marc Edelstein, in association with several prominent Las Vegas-based physicians. K/E Centers plans to expand this model to other metropolitan cities throughout the west within the coming years.

“When we began to research areas that could immediately benefit from this centralized and specialized approach to medicine, Las Vegas was on the top of the list,” said Dr. Koblin. “We hope that by introducing this facility to the community, we will create an added value experience for both patients and physicians alike.”
