George (Skip) Smith Named New ASHE President-Elect

CHICAGO, Ill — The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) has announced that George A. (Skip) Smith, CHFM, SASHE, Director, Facility Management with Catholic Health Initiatives in Hilliard, Ohio was elected the 2010 President-Elect. The President-Elect will serve in this position during 2010 and assume the presidency in 2011. The ASHE Board of Directors has the responsibility to determine its mission, goals and objectives and to develop the strategic and financial plans to achieve them.


ASHE has also re-elected Mark A. Kenneday, MBA, CHFM, SASHE and voted in four new members to its Board of Directors for terms beginning on January 1, 2010 and ending December 31, 2011. Congratulations to the following individuals:
