Hammes Co. Names Chris Kay President and COO
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Chris Kay has been named Hammes Company Healthcare LLC’s new president and chief operating officer effective Feb. 1.
Kay succeeds Richard Galling, who served as president and COO since 2003. Galling will remain on Hammes Company’s board of directors and consult on strategic initiatives. In addition, he will continue in his role as a member of the Hammes affiliate private equity fund investment committee.
Kay has more than 30 years of project management, operations and business development experience in the building industry, spending the past 17 years of his career exclusively focused in the healthcare and life sciences markets. He is a recognized leader in healthcare project management and other consulting services.
Kay’s background includes strong business development and operational and delivery experience at both boutique and large multi-disciplinary firms, and includes work in building design, construction management, program management, real estate and consulting. He has served in various leadership roles with national and global firms such as Turner Construction, Parsons Corporation and Jacobs Engineering.
Kay joins Hammes Company directly from Jacobs Engineering in Houston, Texas, where he was the managing principal of its national healthcare practice since 2012.
