MKM architecture + design Completes St. Joseph Hospital Project
A recent project designed by MKM architecture + design for St. Joseph Hospital located in downtown Fort Wayne, Texas, is complete and open to the public.
St. Joseph Hospital is a 191-bed facility dedicated to meeting the ever-changing needs of the neighborhoods in and around the heart of downtown Fort Wayne. They provide the community with quality healthcare services including emergency, inpatient and outpatient care, surgical services, rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging among others. MKM recently designed a new reception area for the hospital that centralized registration, improved privacy and increased security.
“The project consisted of several key elements – such as moving the welcome desk closer to the entry doors, adding private registration cubicles and separating the after-hours care from the main hospital – that work together to provide a more efficient registration process for patients,” said Ron Menze, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, partner.
Weigand Construction served as general contractor.
